2014 mainly revolved around Gatti’s operation and the aftermath thereof, although all in all things went relatively smoothly on that front. We had a holiday in Denmark in June, and a longer holiday in Greece in September, both of which were very enjoyable.
There are many things we love about Greece – the weather is always fantastic, and so are the views. The photograph below was taken from somewhere on the Sithonia peninsula, and you can clearly see Mount Athos in the distance.
2014 was the year we made our first visit to my Dad in his new apartment in Exmouth (Roswell Court). I had seen it already the previous Christmas when I went on my own for a flying visit to England, but only relatively briefly. I have to say it was a very nicely situated and well equipped apartment and I would have been happy to live there myself had I been on my own. Nevertheless it was obvious that my Dad was missing my Mum, which was sad.
We changed our dentist in the Spring of 2014. Our existing dentist was perfectly competent, but unfortunately his back office were not very efficient, and messed up the paperwork once too often. Apart from that, life carried on pretty much as usual.
